The two artists reside and work from home, near Canterbury. The brief was to create a well-designed functional, multipurpose room, incorporating an office area and a guest bed.
Part of the brief was to be sympathetic to the rest of their fabulous well designed home, bringing cohesion while continuing with their vintage eclectic style, additionally incorporating some of their beautiful vintage items they collected over the years.
At first glance the room lacked character and purpose. The walls colour was plain and the window treatment was in much needed help.
I welcomed this challenge and approached this project methodically with extended research and careful planning, talking through the ideas of ingenious fold out bed options and a designated place for the massage bed. I selected a bold wallpaper design to be the focal point of the room. I valued working with this client, as she is an expert when it comes to colours and I felt inspired by her artwork. I presented her with three different colour schemes and styles to compliment the rest of their home, incorporating new elements and a variety of fabric texture and fabulous wallpaper.

Daniela brought her own style, which was quite refreshing and complementary to the rest of the house, but it was different enough to be exciting and see the potential through fresh eyes. She presented three different styles inspired by the elements we already had throughout our house. I feel that Daniela went beyond the brief, exceeding our expectations. It was obvious that she had a thorough understanding and knowledge of how materials and textures work together.
Daniela is quick to formulate design ideas; she is also multi talented in presenting matching curtains, sofa, textures and wallpaper, incorporating the eclectic mix. Daniela is extremely talented yet versatile capturing the essence of our aspirations, incorporating her soft furnishing and upholstery skills. We highly recommend Daniela.
